The Diabetes Diary is a self- management tool for diabetes patients.

The Diabetes Diary is a self-management tool for patients with diabetes, developed by the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research (NSE) in TromsΓΈ, Norway. You can use the app to record blood glucose, insulin, carbohydrates and physical activity. Over time, the data that you enter will grow into a database with valuable information related to your diabetes, giving you a better understanding of events and situations that affect your disease and aiding you in decisions regarding food and medications. The app is a result of many years of research at NSE. It has been tested and developed in close cooperation with users. The research has proved that mobile applications can improve health and quality of life for patients with diabetes, and we have therefore chosen to make our app available to the public. We are continuously improving our app based on input from users in ongoing research projects, as well as input from users here on Google Play. Updates will be published regularly. All feedback will be considered in the development of new versions, and is highly appreciated. You will find more information about the Diabetes Diary, and NSE, on the Internet:http://www.diabetesdagboka.nohttp://www.ehealthresearch.noLike us on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/DiabetesdagbokaData storage: Please note that Diabetes Diary stores the information you enter about your health and habits, information that you might want to keep private. It is possible to protect the information, for example by locking your mobile device with a pattern or a code. Normally, the database with data entries is stored where it can be accessed only by Diabetes Diary. However, if you choose to use the feature for exporting the database, other applications may also be able to read the database.Fixed issue with 12-hour formatting.

It seems a good app. I was using paper before. Bit fiddly when inputting screeds of past data, and much better using it in real time. Not sure why clicking female gender choice it decided calorie counting was wanted which i had already discounted. But it seems what i want. But why 12 lunchtime goes to 00 in 12 hour clock ??

A very useful app. Not sure I understand it all. Only suggestion I have is to have a way to show time is an estimate or guess. As sometimes an entry is input later. Perhaps the tilde? The walking start times I enter first and then when I've finished. it's easy to calculate then.

I have a type-1 diabetes and have been on 5 injections of insulin a day since the year 2000. This app is very very close to the diary/logbook I'd like to have. It is definitely done by people who can make a simple, reliable app and know what insulin-dependent diabetics need. Thank you.

I'm having trouble with my Breakfast, lunch and dinner and before bedtime because it doesn't separate by time of day, it's getting hard on me because of my slight-mild-severe Autism and Learning difficulties. Please fix this problem, please πŸ™πŸ˜•. I need this app to be like Diabetes M app because it's is on me but I can only pay for $0.99 to remove the ads because I not allowed to pay any higher than that because of my legal guardian and Care Taker who is my mother.

This would be better if it had some method to log oral meds rather than insulin.

Just started,so my opinion should be taken with that in mind, but this is so simple it's laughable. There are no fancy extras, just plainly and simply what you need. All of your entries are easy to make from one page: what your sugar is, what you ate, what medications you took, any exercise undertaken, and any notes you want to make on these entries.I've found out, the hard way, that the more simple you make keeping track of your diabetic information, the more likely you are to continue to do it. Good Luck!
